Millersville University senior Jenna Martorana was recently named Miss Red Rose City. In June, Martorana, of Reading, will advance to the Miss Pennsylvania pageant. Martorana competed on the platform “Breaking down the stigma surrounding mental illness by opening up.”
Martorana was crowned at the 2018 Miss Lancaster County Scholarship pageant March 25 at Ephrata Performing Arts Center’s Sharadin Bigler Theatre.
Nine contestants competed for the titles Miss Lancaster County and Miss Red Rose City.
Marissa Witmer, of Quarryville, was named Miss Lancaster County. Witmer is a sophomore at Franklin & Marshall College.
Witmer and Martorana will advance to the 2018 Miss Pennsylvania Scholarship Pageant in Pittsburgh in June. If either wins the title of Miss Pennsylvania, she will represent the state at the Miss America pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in September.
Anastasi advances to the 2018 Miss Pennsylvania’s Outstanding Teen Scholarship Pageant in Pittsburgh in June. If she wins the title of Miss Pennsylvania’s Outstanding Teen, she will advance to the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Pageant in Orlando, Florida, in August.
