Holding room, board and fees to a 1.2 percent increase.

Room, board and fees at Millersville University for the 2018-19 school year will increase by 1.2 percent. The increase was approved by the Millersville University Council of Trustees (COT) at their meeting on March 29. The meeting was postponed from March 21 because of the spring snowstorm.

Room and board will be $6,263 a semester, an increase of $63; a 1 percent increase. General fees will be $1,089 a semester, an increase of $27; a 2.5 percent increase.

Fees for graduate students will increase 2.6 percent to $1,059.75 per semester.

“While tuition won’t be set until this summer by the Board of Governors, we worked to keep room and board increases to a minimum,” says Roger Bruszewski, vice president of finance and administration at Millersville University.

This was the last meeting for Bruszewski who is retiring at the end of the month.

In other action, the COT approved annual payments of $5,000 to the Blue Rock Regional Fire Company and $3,000 to Lancaster Community Safety Coalition.
