Millersville University will be celebrating Black History Month with numerous activities and events throughout the month of February.

Back to the Future
When: Monday, Feb. 12; 9 p.m.
Where: Meeting Room 118 in the Student Memorial Center

About: This event will include a group discussion on the past and present state of the Black community.
“13th” Documentary
When: Tuesday, Feb. 13; 6:30 p.m.
Where: Club de Ville in the Student Memorial Center
Sponsored: NAACP at Millersville
About: “13th” is a documentary by filmmaker, Ava DuVernay. The film explores themes of inequality in the justice system, while taking an in-depth look at the relationship between race, and mass incarceration.
“I Am Not Your Negro” Film Event
When: Tuesday, Feb. 13; 7 – 9:30 p.m.
Where: The South Village Great Room

About: This event will include a showing of the James Baldwin’s film, “I Am Not Your Negro” which will be followed by a discussion led by RA Eugene Thomas.

About: For this event, the Black Student Union and NAACP at Millersville will be collaborating to bring Sybrina Fulton, the mother of Trayvon Martin, to speak on her son’s case and the social injustices in America today.
