Dr. Abdelhadi Halawa, Wellness and Sport Sciences, had his second co-authored research paper titled “Association Between Ethnicity and Dietary Behaviors in the Chinese Han and Hui Nationalities” published in the December 2017 issue of the Journal of Ethnic and Cultural Studies. The paper which was based on his research project in China studied the association between the sociodemographic characteristics, ethnocultural identity, dietary habits, and related health behaviors of the Chinese Han and Hui ethnic groups living in the Yellow Reviver Valley in central China. Halawa was awarded two-year summer grants (2015-2016) by the National Office of High-End Foreign Experts of the Chinese Ministry of Education to serve as a National High-End Foreign Expert and Lead Researcher at the Key Research Institute of Yellow River Civilization and Sustainable Development, Henan University, Henan Province, China.
Dr. M. P. A. Sheaffer, English, sang on January 6 and 7 in the Chorvereinigung St. Augustin at the Jesuitenkirche in Vienna. The choir sang Mozart’s Krōnungsmesse and Anton Diabelli’s Pastoralemesse on those days, respectively.
