There will be Hollywood stars, 2,800 people participating, 145 volunteers and 25 bands at the Millersville Community Parade on Saturday, October 22. The “Hollywood Comes to Millersville” parade, which will take place from 9 -11:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, is just one of the many events scheduled for Homecoming 2016 at Millersville University.
During the week, the Homecoming Court finalists will be participating in forums and on Thursday there will be a “Hollywood Dinner & Trivia Night” at the Upper Deck and a Pep Rally at 8 p.m. in the Student Memorial Center.
Other events include the 2016 Distinguished Lecture on Thursday night featuring Dr. Margarete Zalon, a professor of nursing at The University of Scranton and co-author of “Nurses Making Policy: From Bedside to Boardroom.” There will also be an Alumni & Friends Golf Outing at Crossgates on Friday and the Annual Athletic Hall of Fame reception and dinner Friday night at 6 p.m. in Bolger Conference Center.
Tickets are still available for “One Fabulous Dame” at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the Winter Center. Scott Mason will present a one-of-a-kind evening to support University Theatre!
Other Saturday events include an alumni baseball game, a Lady Marauder basketball and swim team BBQ, the Alumni & Friends Tent party and Marauder football.
