Millersville is Military Friendly

University receives designation for 4th year in a row.

Millersville University was designated as a military friendly school for 2016 by Victory Media, for the fourth year in a row.

The title recognizes higher-education institutions that exhibit top practices in recruiting and supporting post-military students. The list of military friendly schools is published annually and is featured in G.I. Jobs, Military Spouse and Vetrepreneur Magazine.

“Millersville University is once again honored to receive the military friendly school designation,” said Dr. Minor Redmond, assistant vice president for Student Success & Retention. “We continue to be committed to recruiting both active and post-military students. Academic support and other resources are also made available to them and their families to help ensure their academic success here at Millersville.”

MU offers concurrent admissions programs with the Army, Army Reserve and Army National Guard. They grant credits for military training based on recommendations by the American Council on Education Guides and has a two-part, four-year program in military science, ROTC. MU provides veterans with a location on campus, the Veteran Resource Center, located at the Mercer House and has other allocations and opportunities for students and veterans at their Veterans Affairs Office including a Student Veterans Association.
