Ed Asner, star of “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “Lou Grant,” recipient of 16 nominations and seven Emmy Awards, five Golden Globe Awards and member of the TV Academy Hall of Fame, will star in “Ed Asner as Franklin D. Roosevelt” on April 6 at 7:30 p.m. in The Ware Center, Millersville University, 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster.
This one-man drama explores the life of America’s 32nd president, Franklin D. Roosevelt. FDR follows the life and times of the iconic president as he reflects on his years in office, from his inauguration through the trials of leading a nation through the Second World War.
Join Dr. John McLarnon, associate professor of history at Millersville, for a pre-show talk “FDR, His Friends and His Foes” at 6:45 p.m. in the Owen Salon, 3rd Floor of The Ware Center.
