Pep Band Cheers on Marauders After Almost a Decade

The pep band is back, performing Feb. 9 at the men’s and women’s basketball games!

Millersville University's pep band performing back in 2004 at basketball game.

For the first time since 2004, Millersville University’s men’s and women’s basketball team will have their own pep band cheering them on. The pep band is scheduled to perform on February 9 at the women’s game at 1 p.m. and the men’s game at 3 p.m. Both games will be held in Pucillo Gymnasium.

During the February 9 home game, the pep band will play a variety of songs from “Firework” by Katy Perry to classics such as “YMCA.” The pep band consists of 40 Millersville students directed by Matthew Storm. “This will be a very big learning experience but with all the talented musicians that have joined, I am confident it will be great,” said Storm.

Bring your family and friends and come out to show your support for Millersville by helping the band cheer on the Marauders to victory.

If you are interested in joining the pep band for next year, contact Storm at Matthew.Storm@millersville.edu.

The addition of the Pep Band to Millersville Athletics is a great idea. I attended the Feb. 2 Basketball games where the Pep Band debuted–and it was fun. We have many talented students who are in the Pep Band, under the direction of Matt Storm. Come out and cheer on the Marauders on Saturday, Feb. 9, stand up and dance, sing-a-long and have fun with the Pep Band too!
