Albino Appointed Director of Migrant Education

Dámaso Albino has recently been appointed director of Millersville University’s Migrant Education Program. He was previously the program’s co-interim director since January 2012.

Albino comes to Millersville from the School District of Lancaster, where he served as principal and assistant principal at J.P. McCaskey High School. His 28 years of educational experience also includes serving as the dean of students at the Lancaster Partnership Charter School. In addition, Albino was a mathematics and English as a second language instructor in the School District of Lancaster, a mathematics instructor at Harrisburg Area Community College and a mathematics and English teacher in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Most recently, Albino, who speaks fluent English and Spanish, served as team leader for the Berks Project Area 4 for Millersville’s Migrant Education Program.

His undergraduate works was in Puerto Rico at the University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez Campus and the Antillian College. His master’s degree in teaching and curriculum is from Penn State, as well as his master’s/certification in educational administration (K-12 School Principalship).
