Four Corners Summer Arts Festival, 2012

This year’s Four Corners Summer Arts Festival features events intended for audiences of all ages!

Millersville will host its 2012 Four Corners Summer Arts Festival again this summer. Experience four dimensions of art: Theater, music, dance and visual art. The Four Corners Festival is intended for audiences of all ages and is free (except for the ticketed Rafters Theatre performance of “Julius Caesar”) and open to the public.

Below is a tentative schedule of events for this year’s festival:

June 29 at 3:30 p.m. – Camp Will performs “Julius Caesar” at Rafters Theatre in Dutcher Hall. Camp Will is a three-week Shakespeare acting adventure for 5th – 9th grade students.

July 11 at 6 p.m. – Festival launch: Outdoor art gallery and a mix of performers on the shores of the Swan Pond. Jazz Ministers Big Band will be performing at 7:30 p.m.

July 11-14 at 7:30 p.m. – The festival continues with outdoor art booths and a mix of performers on the shores of the Swan Pond.

July 20-22 at 7:30 p.m. – People’s Shakespeare Project performs “Julius Caesar” on the shores of the Swan Pond.

July 27-28 at 7:30 p.m. – People’s Shakespeare Project performs “Julius Caesar” at Rafters Theatre in Dutcher Hall. Tickets cost $10 for general admission; $5 for students.

“Intrigue” art exhibit and “Post No Bills” interactive art project will be open on the 2nd floor Studio Theatre in Dutcher Hall during the following times:

July 11, 6 – 10 p.m.
July 12-14 and July 20-21, noon to 10 p.m.
July 22 and July 27-28, 6 – 10 p.m.
July 17-19 and July 24-26, noon to 4 p.m.

August 3 at 5 p.m. (Lancaster First Friday) – “Intrigue” art exhibit opens at The Ware Center, Millersville University Lancaster and will continue through August.
