Faculty, staff and students,

Millersville University has announced a program to upgrade photo IDs for students, faculty and staff.  The University is offering a sticker that has an expiration date, so that IDs comply with new voter registration laws in advance of the fall elections. In addition, the University is offering to have IDs issued prior to 2008 swiped to make sure they don’t contain social security numbers on the magnetic stripe.  This is a voluntary program.

If you need an expiration sticker and/or your card swiped, please bring your ID for upgrading at the following times and locations – no appointment necessary.

Wednesday, May 2 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.  at Caputo Lobby, Adams House, Dilworth – Conference Room and Boyer ID office.

Thursday, May 3 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at SMC Lobby by Juice Bar, Adams House, Stayer Lobby and Boyer ID office.

Friday, May 4 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at McComsey Lobby, Adams House, Lyle and Boyer ID office.

Wednesday, May 9 from 8 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. in Boyer ID office.

Tuesday, May 15 from 6 a.m. – 7 a.m. in Palmer and 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. in Boyer ID office.

Thursday, May 17 from 6 a.m. – 7 a.m. in Palmer and 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. in Boyer ID office.

In addition, the Boyer ID Office is open 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday – Friday.  It will also be open May 19 from 8 a.m. – noon for Placement Testing ID’s.

adding an expiration date to a card that previously did not expire is a downgrade. Also using the word upgrade to describe applying a sticker is misleading.
