Want to see where the weather forecasting “magic” occurs? The Millersville University Weather Information Center (MUWIC) will be holding its 12th annual open house on February 21. The event will be held in room 401 of Caputo Hall from 6-7:30 p.m.

The open house will include of a walkthrough of the MUWIC with the opportunity to ask questions and learn about the meteorology program at Millersville. In addition, participants will gain insight into this winter’s ongoing La Nina and how it affects our weather. Eric Horst, director of the MUWIC, and his student meteorologists, will help to answer questions about current weather patterns and trends, such as “La Nina,” and the possibility of snow.

“The MUWIC gets a lot of press locally through newspapers and radio, so it’s nice for the public to be able to see the center they hear about,” said Horst.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Horst at Eric.Horst@millersville.edu or 717-871-2263.
