Looking for the Library?

Millersville’s library is now campus-wide and library staff are ready to help students, faculty and staff.

With more than 10 convenient locations across campus, the library is all around you. Just look for the blue clouds – they indicate a library-sponsored space where you can get help!

The library @ Gerhart Hall

Our temporary library can be found at Gerhart Hall on E. Frederick Street. Here, the University community can use computers for research, borrow more than 10,000 physical items including books, textbooks, juvenile items, DVDs, graphic novels and more, or check out laptops and DVD players to use around campus, pick up E-ZBorrow and Interlibrary Loan items, return items, pay fines, use course reserves, print papers and request curriculum, FOSS kits, and oversized items.

Hours are generally Monday-Thursday 8 a.m.-10p.m.; Friday 8 a.m.-7 p.m.; Saturday 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday 1-10 p.m.; however, users should check online at www.library.millersville.edu/l2.cfm?Parent=4186 for exceptions.

Library-sponsored study spaces

Looking for a place to study, do research or meet up for a group project? Visit one of the library-sponsored study spaces across campus. These spaces are available on a first come, first served basis:

  • Stayer Hall: 214, 228 & 224 (Open Sunday – Thursday, 5-9 p.m.)
  • McComsey Hall: 133 & 134 (Open Sunday – Thursday, 5-9 p.m.)

Get research help from a librarian

Millersville University librarians now have offices in academic buildings across campus including McComsey Hall, Stayer Hall, Caputo Hall, Osburn Hall, the Franklin House and Hash Building. Students can drop by during open office hours before or after classes to get help with assignments, starting their research, evaluating information and more. Faculty and staff are also invited to visit during office hours for assistance with their information needs. If office hours are not convenient, please feel free to schedule an individual or group appointment.

For a complete listing of librarian contact information and office hours, visit blogs.millersville.edu/help/in-person/. The University Community can also contact a librarian via phone/text message (717-842-0542), email (ResearchHelp@millersville.edu) or by using our chat/IM service (click on “CHAT” from the library website).
