Spring 2011 Biology Colloquium

Millersville’s biology department announced the schedule for the spring 2011 Biology Colloquium series.

The Millersville University biology department has announced the schedule for the spring 2011 Biology Colloquium series.

All lectures will be held Wednesdays from 4 p.m. – 4:50 p.m. in Caputo 210. Lectures are free and open to students, faculty and staff. Light refreshments will be served. The colloquium is an opportunity to interact with outstanding scientists from across the country.

Lectures for the month of February include:

  • Feb. 16: “Colonial History Meets 21st Century Ecology: Factors Influencing Salamanders in Lancaster County,” given by Dr. David Bowne from Elizabethtown College.
  • Feb. 23: “Habitat Restoration for an Imperiled Butterfly,” given by Ms. Julie Eckenrode from Pennsylvania State University.
