Oct 20 – NCSAM – Week 3, learn how to protect our connected devices!

Higher education relies increasingly on Internet-connected devices and solutions to improve student engagement and learning, organizational efficiency, and much more. The emergence of COVID has forced many organizations to rethink how we teach, learn, and work. When the pandemic started we quickly turned from in-person instructions to online in a matter of 2 weeks. Now we are equipping classrooms with media devices to allow for multi-modal instruction. This has also changed the way we work, we implemented a VPN for secure remote connections, expanded offerings of online applications and resources, enhanced security options with a password portal and MFA. However, it has also exposed all of us to more vulnerabilities that cybercriminals can exploit.
