My name is Jules! I am a first-semester Millersville student who transferred here from a community college! I share my dorm with my puppy, Cola! I am an OSEH major and love to be involved on campus! This is a picture of me winning Bingo! My favorite events this past semester were all of my community engagement activities. I did so many, made so many friends, and had a great time! I’d encourage everyone to get more involved in community activities!
This is the electricity activity that we did in groups in class. As shown in the images, both circuits my team constructed building a switch worked well! The lightbulb turn on both times, and we even eventually built a two-way circuit.
This is an image of the 3D printer actively printing Dr E’s pdf insert of the lego brick. This was fascinating to see a machine print something other than just paper, and our lego bricks turned out so unique!
This is the cardboard Lego brick that my group designed. We used many layers and measurements to ensure that our brick was the correct dimensions as well as constructed similarly to the 3D printer design. I believe my group did a great job at creating our lego design and this was one of my favorite activities!
This is an image of my group’s construction assignment project. These were our two attempts at ensuring our paper designs would hold weight. The image on the left failed to hold the weight, while our design shown in the image on the right was much more efficient and did succeed at holding the required weight!
My primary academic career goal is to graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Environmental Health (OSEH) from Millersville University by May 2027. Upon graduation, I strive to secure a well-paying entry-level position within the insurance industry, specifically in a role related to risk assessment, loss control, or safety consulting, with a company located within a 20-mile radius of my hometown, Bethlehem, PA, that offers comprehensive health insurance and retirement benefits, by August 2027. I hope to find a company that cares deeply about my wellbeing mentally and physically. To do this, I will start internships beginning Spring of 2026. This will allow me to step foot in the door of meeting people in the career and hopefully allowing for an easier entry way into the real world once I graduate. I will continue my path on the course of OSEH classes, as well as continuing to complete my gen-ed courses in a timely manner. I plan to take summer classes each year, as it will escalate my timeliness. This career path aligns with my academic focus and desire to apply my safety knowledge in a professional setting that provides both financial stability and long-term security through benefits.
