In this activity we used pieces of thin copper, paper clips, a small battery, and a light bulb. We were assigned to make a card with a switch to turn the bulb on and off while having to use the materials in the card. I’ve delt with wire routing in middle and high school.
I experienced frustration because I would rip my copper tape too short or they would roll up into a ball, and I could unroll it to the point it would just rip on its own. I would have to go get new ones and start over. Also, the battery wouldn’t stay still when I taped it so the bulb would not stay lit up either.
I knew which parts were conductors and which were insulators in the circuit. In all I learned how to make a card with a LED bulb switch on and off with certain conductors and insulators. I’ve done this assignment before, so I didn’t learn much just a review.
