Millersville’s University’s Winter and Visual and Performing Arts Center received an “Excellence in Construction Award” from Keystone Associated Builders and Contractors. The award ceremony and dinner was held on July 16. Millersville’s Steve Strock, Capital Construction, Contracting & Design, was on hand to pick up the award.
The Winter Center, which opened on Oct. 12, 2012, is 84,000-square-foot center that features a concert hall, recital hall, performance hall, classrooms, recording studio, piano lab, music library, faculty offices and more. The Winter Center project began in March 2010 and has previously received the 2013 Project Recognition Award from CMAA Mid-Atlantic Chapter ,which was presented to both the University and Heery International Inc., the construction manager for the project.
