On Thursday March 30th, 2023, Millersville University’s Tell School of Music will be hosting a Music Business Technology workshop for high school juniors and seniors, as well as transfer students. Music professionals will discuss their careers as music engineers, producers, entertainment lawyers, band managers, tour managers, and performers. We will discuss topics such as how to best prepare for careers in these areas. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to participate in multiple hands-on sessions in music production, recording, and live audio! Students will have the opportunity to record live artists in the main recording studio and edit music using the latest music technology in our music technology lab. The business session will address current topics that are of interest to students entering the field. Participants will also learn how to prepare for the college admission process. Areas to be highlighted include creating a music portfolio, interviewing, and auditioning. See the attached announcement for more information.
