Our Career Day is an excellent chance for prospective undergraduate students to come to campus, tour the building, meet our faculty, students, and learn more about what we offer.  Students can attend as many sessions as they choose and learn about the Music Education, Music Industry, and Music Performance degree programs.

Find out for yourself why thousands of musicians from all over the country have made the Tell School of Music the launching pad for their careers.

This day-long event features a tour of our facilities combined with multiple sessions where YOU get to meet industry and educational professionals, meet with faculty and students from the programs in which you are most interested, and get a feel of what our degree programs are like. LUNCH IS PROVIDED!

All students are welcome to bring their instruments to sit in with ensembles towards the end of the day!

Music Industry track – Join in a panel discussion with music industry professionals discussing career opportunities and take part in recording with a Grammy Award winning engineer and get hands-on experience in a mix session in our labs. You will also be participating in a music business seminar.

Music Education track – Events include several workshops where you get to first hand experience classes that music education students take and learn songs and games that you could use in your future classrooms! Also hear from music educators out in the field.

Performance track – If you are interested to play during the masterclass for a mini critique/lesson, we will have an accompanist available during that time. Bring in your solo music for district festival and get feedback! If you interested in using the accompanist during that session please send your music ahead of time and contact us that you are interested in playing.
