April is Music Industry Month at the Tell School of Music

Join us this April as we celebrate Music Industry Month at the Tell School of Music, where we delve into the excitement of the world of the music industry, bringing special to campus. From conversations with live audio engineering experts to behind-the-scenes tours, we have an array of events lined up to inspire and educate.

Event Highlights:
1. Steve McCale, FOH Engineer
Date: Tuesday, April 2
Time: 1:10 PM
Location: WVPAC Dance Studio (2nd floor)
Description: Join us as Steve McCale, Front of House Engineer for the Stevie Nicks World Tour, shares insights into the art of mixing live performances on the road. Get ready for an engaging discussion on the challenges and thrills of working behind the soundboard of one of the most iconic tours in music history.

2. Clair Global Field Trip
Date: Tuesday, April 9
Time: 6:30 PM
Location: (Space is limited, sign up with Dr. Atticks)
Description: Take a journey behind the scenes of live audio on the road with Dave Lester, Director of Safety and Education at Clair Global. Gain exclusive access to the inner workings of concert production and learn firsthand about the technical marvels that bring music to life on stage.

3. Matt Herr, FOH Engineer
Date: Wednesday, April 17
Time: 4:00 PM
Location: Dance Studio
Description: Don’t miss the opportunity to hear from Matt Herr, a 2024 Emmy Award winner and esteemed Front of House Engineer with over 20 years of experience. Matt will share his insights into mixing music legend Elton John on his “Farewell Tour,” offering a glimpse into the magic behind crafting unforgettable live performances.
