Tell School of Music students are making it happen this summer! Senior Music Industy and Performance major Lindsey Hutchinson was competitively selected to perform as a part of the International Clarinet Association’s ClarinetFest in masterclasses with internationally-renowned bass clarinet virtuosos Michael Lowenstern and Evan Ziporyn. Lindsey performed for Ziporyn with Tell School alum Rick Ferrarelli. Dr. Christy Banks, their teacher, is the artistic director of the entire festival. Today is the first day of ClarinetFest - the annual conference and concert festival of the International Clarinet Association. The person chosen as Artistic Director for this most prestigious event in the clarinet world was none other than Tell School of Music Assistant Chair Dr. Christy Banks! Dr. Banks arranged, selected, and curated performances and compositions from all over the world. Several MU students and alums also made the trip to Reno to be a part of the festival as well. There's still spots open for 2022 Strings Camp! If you are within driving distance, our camp will be from June 21 through June 25. Strings Camp will meet from 10 am to 12 pm each day with a feature recital at the end of the week. The camp is for violin, viola, cello, and bass students with experience on their instruments. The camp will be led by Tell School of Music graduate Drew Peris (BA Music Performance/BSE Music Education). The registration deadline has been extended to June 17, with payment due by the start of camp.

If you are within driving distance, our camps will be from June 21 through June 25 from 9 am to 12 pm each day and is intended for students of any recording technology expereince. The camp is led by Tell School of Music Adjunct Instructor and Studio Manager Logan Ressler. The camp is limited to only 12 participants and is filling up fast! The registration deadline has been extended to June 17, with payment due by the start of camp.
