Congratulations to Alexis Bowen, senior music education major, who begins her year-long internship in the College of Education’s award-winning Professional Development School.  Alexis will intern with her mentor, Ms. Johanna Baker at Mountville Elementary in the Hempfield School District, for the entire fall semester and again in the first half of the spring semester before moving on to her secondary level placement.  Alexis is beyond excited to strengthen her teaching skills and is so thankful to Ms. Baker for helping her become acquainted and comfortable in the classroom.  She also says she’s met so many wonderful students and has seen how music can make a positive effect on children’s lives.  We are excited for you, Alexis!
