Nicholas Patrick Spease

Nicholas Patrick Spease, a senior Music Industry major with a focus in management and a member of the trumpet studio, spent the summer of 2021 working at Yawgoog Scout Reservation in Rockville, Rhode Island as one of the camp’s Program Commissioners. His duties included overseeing accommodations for units, planning activities for scouts, and writing shows that coincided with the weekly theme for the staff to perform. In addition to his job as Program Commissioner, he also served as one of the camp buglers, playing up to seven different calls a day signaling scouts to wake up or gather for a meal. As an additional project, Nicholas has been designing a course that focuses on the history of the bugle as well as the variety of calls that have been played throughout history.
