In the typography assignment, we began by learning about how typography used to be done, namely metal stamps of all sizes and fonts organized by letter in a large tray. We learned that this was the origin of font size being measured in points, which was an actual unit of measurement they used when determining the size of each stamp.

We then transitioned to more modern, online typography. We experimented with many different fonts and font sizes in Abode Illustrator, which wasn’t really new to me as I have used many fonts and font sizes before in presentations and posters and such. Still, it was at least a good introduction to a bit of Adobe Illustrator, which I had never used before.
