Bio
Hello! My name is Micah Kolsevich, and I am a 1st year Technology & Engineering Education major her at MU. My interests in technology mainly lie in the CAD and robotics/electronics fields, however I also enjoy materials such as woodworking and metalworking. I chose education as my desired path because I want to share my love of technology and engineering with others and show them that it’s field everyone can get into and enjoy, regardless of position in life. Some other hobbies I enjoy in my free time include reading, trading card games, and all things music.
College-Career Goal
My main goal in college is to complete all the requirements for my major and get my degree in Technology & Engineering Education. This includes completing all of my required classes, student teaching, and maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA, among other things. This goal is rather easy to measure, as everything I need to do is outlined in MarAudit, so I can easily keep track of how far along I am based on what classes and other requirements I have already completed. To make sure I complete this goal, I will have to make sure I register for and complete all required classes with at minimum a passing grade (though I would prefer a B or higher), work hard and do well enough in them to maintain an at minimum 3.0 GPA, and complete a semester of student teaching. Some potential challenges I may face while completing this goal include classes that fill up quickly or have conflicting times, difficult classes, and having a busy schedule that requires good time management. Some resources that can help me through these challenges include my advisor, professors, and upperclassmen who have already been through many of the classes. Assuming all goes well, I plan to complete all of my required classes except my Senior year education classes by the end of my Junior year, and then have everything finished by the end of year 4.
