Keynote Speaker 2015

 

Jesse Krimes was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1982.  After completing his BA in Studio Art at Millersville University, he was indicted by the United States government, labeled a “drug kingpin,” and sentenced to a 70-month prison term. While incarcerated, Mr. Krimes established prison drawing, painting, and independent study studio art programs and worked collaboratively with his fellow inmates, in addition to maintaining an active independent studio practice.  After completing his sentence, he moved to Philadelphia, where he currently lives and works.
