Today we did a “construction” project! We split into small groups again and had to figure out how to get a soda bottle to hang with limited materials. As you can see, we had a piece of wood clamped to the desks, but paper was literally holding up this full sprite bottle!!! This was very challenging and stressful because the bottle had fell about 10 times before we succeeded. Not to mention we were using up our limited materials on our failed attempts!!! What we were given was a piece of paper, and poly vinyl rings and a hole puncher
. We fan folded the piece of standard paper, so that it was wavy, basically with the idea in mind that it would make it thicker, and stronger. We then put the sticky paper rings in where its hanging from to make it a little sturdier for the 10 seconds that it needed to hang!!! After a lot of failed ideas and ripped paper and wasted sticky rings, we finally got it to hang!!! This was very fun, and I learned to think outside the box and improvise and adapt.
