ELECTRONICS

When doing the circuits unit I basically already knew what to do because in my old school I had to do something similar to building a circuit. The only difference was that we had a circuit box and lots of specific wires that we needed to place one end of the wire in a certain spot so it could take the charge from the battery and re direct it to where you want it to. In my school they though us how to make a light turn on and how to make sound just with a battery, some wires, and a circuits box.

I really enjoyed the Electronics unit. The part of the entire unit that I connected with the most is the light up decoration part because we had to find a way for our circuit to work and make a design for the card that we were making. When I first got the materials, we could use them.

I first thought of a light house. Drawing the lighthouse was another part that I connected with because I love drawing things and finding new techniques to make my drawing better. The actual making of the circuit was fun and I connected with it too because it pushed my thinking on how I would like to make it. I didn’t want to make a simple circuit that you just pressed, and the light came on. So, I decided to push my thinking and made a lever where if you moved it down it would turn off and if you moved it to the middle the light would turn on.

In this electronics unit, I learned new items that are conductors and some that aren’t. I will probably use this information when I’m working with cars. Especially when it comes to the electrical works of the car.
