This activity involved us using Autodesk Fusion, a 3D design software, to design a Lego brick. We watched videos and downloaded the software on our desktops. Using instructions provided by the teacher, we designed a model of a Lego brick using tools built into the Fusion software. I have some experience with Autodesk software from high school, which helped me when it came to working in Fusion. I had never used 3D software, only 2D, but a lot of the tools were similar between the two software programs. Once we had the file, we transported it to the 3D printer and did a little bit of configuring to prevent printing issues. This was demonstrated by one of the 5th-year students, and it was a simple run-through of 3D printing and how to actually start/run one. Overall, this was a fun activity and an interesting step into the world of 3D printing.
