When we went into class on October 24, 2012 our plants looked great. There is more growth on all three of the lettuce plants and the tomatoes are sprouting new leaves on their stems. They have grown to about the height of 5 “.

 This is an overall photo of our system and the growth that is occurring. As you can see the lettuce has really multiplied. 

THE LEVELS

The PH levels are at a steady 6.2, and a water temperature of around 65 degrees

Here are how our plants are looking.

After a week and a half from planting our lettuce is sprouting and spreading rapidly. The  tomatoes on the left side of the picture have grown to a height of around 3 inches.

NFT System

Our NFT system was designed to be low maintenance. The system we created is close to the one you see here in this diagram
