Certified Controls Engineer (CCE) Exam

The Association of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) administers the Certified Controls Engineer (CCE) exam. This professional certification is a multi-subject exam emphasizing automation and control systems applicable to a broad swath of industrial applications. The exam can be used for individual certification and for program assessment.

The Department of Applied Engineering, Safety & Technology uses the CCE exam to assess students’ program learning outcomes for multiple programs. The results are used for assessment and will not have a negative impact on a students’ course grades.

Prior to taking the exam, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to https://learn.atmae.org/
  2. Navigate to top right corner of home page and click on Create Account and follow the registration steps.  (Select Student Non-Member as the member type.)
  3. Save your login details for the day of the exam. The instructor will provide you with the exam link and password at the time of the exam.
