Certified Controls Engineer (CCE) Exam
The Association of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) administers the Certified Controls Engineer (CCE) exam. This professional certification is a multi-subject exam emphasizing automation and control systems applicable to a broad swath of industrial applications. The exam can be used for individual certification and for program assessment.
The Department of Applied Engineering, Safety & Technology uses the CCE exam to assess students’ program learning outcomes for multiple programs. The results are used for assessment and will not have a negative impact on a students’ course grades.

Prior to taking the exam, follow the steps below:
- Go to https://learn.atmae.org/
- Navigate to top right corner of home page and click on Create Account and follow the registration steps. (Select Student Non-Member as the member type.)
- Save your login details for the day of the exam. The instructor will provide you with the exam link and password at the time of the exam.
