Through the selection of three different types of seeds, we have begun our germinating process. We decided on growing wax peppers, however are germinating wax peppers, bell peppers, and cucumbers. The variation allows us to take advantage and plant the fastest to germinate seed. Germination will take place enclosed in a plastic bag with a moist paper towel and placed in the sun.
The building process of our system has continued to move on steadily. We have all of our pieces in tact and have since done trial runs for leaks.
After repairing any leaks, we loaded up the system with water to test the rate at which water will flow through the tubing to the plants. The tubing is equipped with an adjustable rate of water flow valve.
The set up of your system is really cool and the fact that you can control how much water flows through the system, I’m guessing is key to good growth? Also i like how you though to germinate different types of seeds to see what would grow faster. Good luck on your growing!
I really like the system you decided to use. I think the ability to control the water flow is a key component in many of the system designs. I thought it was interesting that you decided to germinate multiple seeds to see which grew faster, that is a smart idea if results are what you are after. Good luck with your growing.

The construction of your system is pretty cool. I like the fact that you can control the water flow through your system with those brass nozzles. I read that you germinated a couple different seeds, but are only using the wax peppers? What are you doing with the other seeds that you germinated? Or did you plant them too, but your main goal is growing the wax peppers?
