Matthew 25

Matthew 25

Parable of the ten bridesmaids. Matthew 25:1-13.

Matthew 25:12-13 NIV

[12] “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’ [13] “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

We must be prepared for the return of Christ but we do not know when that will happen. We need to build a relationship with him before he returns or we risk being told he does not know us. Prayer, bible study, fellowship, worship, and service are good ways to get to know Jesus.

Matthew 25:21 NIV

[21] “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

We all have been given talents. If we use our talent/gift to show others the Grace of God then I think we will also hear “well done good and faithful servant,” when we see him face to face.

Matthew 25:37-40 NIV

[37] “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? [38] When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? [39] When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ [40] “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

What would your day be like if you treated everyone that you interacted with like God loves them so much he sent His Son to die for them?

Matthew 25:46 NIV

[46] “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life. ”

Another promise of the Bible. If we abide in Jesus we will receive eternal life.
