Queen’s University, Belfast Rep on Campus

Bridget Carey, International Officer at Queen’s University in Belfast, Northern Ireland will be on the Millersville campus on Thursday, October 3rd.  Bridget will be available for a drop-in session from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in SMC Room 203 to speak to students  about studying at Queen’s University.  So drop by and have a chat with Bridget.  Who knows; you may find yourself studying in Northern Ireland!

A New Program Coordinator for Global Ed!

The Office of Global Education and Partnerships is pleased to announce the addition of Christina Accomando as Program Coordinator.  Christina comes to MU from Franklin & Marshall College with a background in Admissions.  She is a graduate of Connecticut College in New London, CT and spent a semester in Florence, Italy during her junior year.  While in Italy Christina spent a great deal of time in art studios and museums studying Art and Art History and traveling to various cities in Italy and Europe.  From her personal experiences and background in higher education, Christina is eager to mentor students through the study abroad process so that they may have a similar life-changing experience!  So stop in and say hello to Christina and chat with her about studying abroad.

MU Students Learn About Their Study Abroad Options!

Students from all across campus gathered in the SMC MPR on Wednesday 9/11 to participate in a Global Education Information Session.  There was excitement in the air as those who came to learn and hear about study abroad adventures mingled with past study abroad participants and international exchange students currently studying at MU!

If you were unable to attend the information session but wish to learn more about studying abroad, stop in to Cumberland House to chat with our Global Ed staff!

Welcome, Melitta Boon from University of the Sunshine Coast

The Office of Global Education is pleased to welcome Melitta Boon, US Admissions and Recruitment Officer from the University of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia to campus on Tuesday, September 10.  Time will be scheduled for Melitta to meet with students, so drop in at Cumberland House on Tuesday and talk to Melitta about opportunities for studying abroad in Australia!  Contact the Department of Global Education for details.

Millersville Welcomes International Students!

The office of Global Education recently welcomed a new group of international students who arrived on campus at the beginning of the fall semester.  These students come from all over the globe representing China, Chile, Germany, France, Spain, South Africa, Japan, and Scotland!
