For the Electrical Circuits activity, the class was put into teams. The goal was to light up the light bulb using various methods with the following supplies:
Conductive Materials
- Tin-foil
- Paper clips
- Pins
- Wire
Insulative materials
- Rubber bands
- Tape
Other materials
- Scissors
- Paper
In order to make the light bulb work, we connected the negative side of the Nine volt battery directly to the battery and connected the positive side of the battery to a self made switch made using 2 pins and a paper clip, operating as the switch, which then connected to the positive side, creating a series circuit with a switch.
This activity was quite insightful for the electronics class that I will inevitably be taking in order to achieve a degree in robotics engineering and showed the basics of what’s to come in the future during my college and professional career.
