During this activity I first learned about the use of metal type and the main terminology of what typography is and what is used. I also learned how they used to space out each letter all while keeping the line of text even and consistent. I was then able to use the metal types provided to create my name and using stamp ink, I was able to stamp my name onto a piece of paper. At the end of the activity I am able to understand how over time the act of typing has changed and improved for easier communication.
