Dr. Mando Spring 2022 Project

Dr. Mando has been working on a collaboration with his research team from Carnegie Mellon’s graduate program. In 2018, they published an article in the journal Composition Studies titled “Intellectual Risk in the Writing Classroom: Navigating Tensions in Educational Values and Classroom Practice.” They have continued their work on this topic, producing drafts of a book chapter and an article. The book chapter will be published by WAC Clearinghouse in their edited collection titled If at First You Don’t Succeed? Writing, Rhetoric, and the Question of Failure. The article is titled, “(Re)Locating the Rhetorical Commonplaces of Risk and Failure” and is currently under review by the Rhetoric Review journal.
