Getting out of workshop with .225 inches to spare

Our Inventor’s Workshop has a door height of 88″. The rings that are designed to support the bus while it is being worked on are 88″ + .20.  The only way to get the bus out of the workshop was for Al to design a special sled system so the bus could be pulled out with no increase in height off the floor.  The key phrase for the night was, “Let’s See What Happens.”  After 2 hours the bus was loaded onto the trailer to be delivered to the sandblaster.

Last Gas Day – At the SMC

Friday, Oct. 9th was our “Last Gas Day” event.

We had a great time showing the bus, talking about the project, and getting 398 human likes and one dog like.  Even though we were below the 1000 likes we were hoping to get, we are very thankful for each thumb print added to our VW bus door.
