Friday, October 9, 2015 – “Last Gas Day” (9:00AM – 3:00PM EST)
The “Last Gas Day” will be a day that the gas powered 1970 VW bus will be displayed in front of the SMC . It will be the last day that the VW bus will a gas powered vehicle. After the last ride on the Last Gas Day, the VW bus will be driven to the Millersville University Inventor’s Garage and the gas engine will be removed in preparation for becoming an electric vehicle.
Leave your mark on the bus.
Since this project is focused on encouraging students to get involved in a real life event, the visitors to Last Gas Day can give the project a REAL “Like” by putting a thumb print on the bus. At the event, there will be little stamp pads that visitors can dip their thumb(s) into and put their thumb print on the bus.
We are hoping for 1000 “likes” (thumbprints) on the bus.
