Why We Write by Jordan Satterfield

Writing has been a part of my life since as long I can remember. The reason I write is because it is another way to express myself that some people might overlook. When you read someone’s writing you almost always try to read from the writer’s point of view. That’s what I want when people read my writing. I love writing where I tell a story. I want to be able to paint a picture in my writing where readers are able to visualize the story. Being able to tell a story is how I’m able to put myself in the writing. I really enjoy writing about personal stories where I can talk about a specific person/group and I can tell their story to give the reader an idea of them that they might have not known. Writing can be a stressful process but once you complete your work, there is this sense of satisfaction that makes it all worth it.
