- I am a student that has not completed 60 credits, including two semesters of general, can I still apply?
As long as you have completed the requisite courses by the time the REU will have begun, you are eligible to apply.
- I am a student at a 2-year institution, can I still apply?
Absolutely! We are recruiting from two year institutions because we wish to reach out to students that are interested in transferring from these institutions and we wish to help you succeed. You are not at a handicap.
- I do not go to Millersville, what are my chances of getting into the REU at Millersville University?
Very good, actually. We are more concerned with your letters of recommendation and your personal statement than we are with your current school.
- I have never worked in a research lab before, will I be lost in the program?
No! Our faculty mentors do not expect prior independent research experience. We are here to help you learn the basics and become skilled in the laboratory.
- When does the program run? Can I just participate for some of it?
The program runs for ten weeks, from June 4th, 2018-August 12th, 2018. You must be present for all ten weeks.
- I am an adult student/non-traditional student. Can I still apply?
As long as you are a college student, you are eligible for entry to the program.
