Hello my name is Cali Mease I am Occupational Safety Environmental Health major with a minor in Management.

Academic/Career Goals: 

My academic and career goal is to become a Certified Safety Professional. I want to achieve this certification so I can be recognized as a safety expert, access better job opportunities, and earn a higher salary. My aim is to become a Certified Safety Professional within seven years. Strengths that will help me pursue this goal include ambition, strong communication skills, attention to detail, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. Some obstacles I may face are passing the exam, understanding all the necessary safety concepts, gaining relevant experience, maintaining the certification, and meeting the required credentials. I plan to overcome these challenges by studying consistently, staying up to date with safety materials, and gaining experience through internships and jobs. The steps I will take include finishing my bachelor’s degree while interning, networking with professionals and companies in the field, securing a job in safety, and continuing to grow my knowledge. Resources I can rely on for support include my professors and former classmates. Achieving this goal would be life-changing for me, and I am hopeful that I will succeed.
