During the fall semester I will use a lot of note-taking skills. I am really glad I was able to come to this program. I will use visual note taking for many reasons. Visual allows me to understand betters. Also I use concept-mapping which lets me elaborate on my ideas. I will use these strategies in all my classes. Finally I will come to the library for more support.

While using these reading strategies it helped a lot. In Dr.Garcia’s class I was able to annotate my notes carefully by finding a quiet environment. It was important to find a place were there were no distractions which allowed me to stay focused. Also I related stuff about culture in the readings to real life experiences. In Dr.Corkery’s class I used a dictionary to understand words I did not understand in the color of water. Furthermore, I used visual note-taking as Dr.Garcia displays pictures in his slides. I feel like visual note-taking and concept mapping help me the best.

Most of the strategies worked for me. Writing questions in the magirins helped me. It allowed me to read for a purpose. The books was very long so I had reading incraments. Likewise, review reading helped me to grasp things better.
I would like to keep using a quiet environment. It allows me to think better. also I can analyze the reading. I also posed questions. By doing that I could read to learn not just to look at the words.
I can make these new learning habit stay by doing them every day. I will talk to others. I should make my goals timely and realistic. I will look over the chart for assistance if i need it. I will be specific in my readings.

My experience at boarding school during my sophomore year changed my life. I did not always like it at first. I had to adapt to new rules. Also I found it hard make friends and adjust to the environment. I took the chance to attend my boarding school because it gave me a opportunity to better my life. The school allowed me to meet people of different backgrounds. While in school, I learned how to become a good swimmer. At first, it was hard introducing to complete strangers and people that had different values.
