For our first activity of the class, we jumped up to the computer lab and designed some name tags in Adobe Illustrator.
Before we went up to the computer lab, however, we explored a little bit about typography. Professor Painter gave out some old physical type pieces and we got to write our name on a piece of paper using the old school method. After that, we went to the computer lab to explore a more modern method!
Prior to this activity, my knowledge about typography was very little. I explored a little bit into fonts during a previous college assignment, but nothing more than that. Through this assignment, I was able to expand my knowledge on typography as a whole and learn how we used to type.
