6th Annual
10-Minute Play
Writing Competition
Always short, sometimes mysterious, usually entertaining, these mini-plays are the perfect format for a writer who wants to experiment with the dramatic form. The challenge is to establish a location, develop a plot, and to give life to vibrant characters within this very challenging time frame.
The Rules are Simple:
1. Open to MU campus & community, also Lancaster County, Harrisburg, and York area playwrights.
2. The play must be complete in and of itself (Not a fragment of a longer play)
3. The estimated performance time for the play should be no more than ten minutes.
4. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS NOVEMBER 30 2010
… the rest is up to the playwright’s imagination

$50 Visa Gift Card for the winner and $25 Visa Gift Card to 2 runners up.
STAGED READINGS:
Staged readings of the winners and other selected scripts will be held in Dutcher Hall, Studio Theatre in the spring of 2011
