Xi Chi-at-Large Induction 2013
BSN & MSN students and Community Leaders will be inducted on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 2:00pm at McComsey Auditorium. Refreshments from 1-2pm for inductees and guests. We are honored to have Dr. Wiseman, STTI North American Region 12 Coordinator. Dr. Wiseman will speak on “STTI and You“. Members are invited to attend to congratulate our new inductees for their achievements in nursing.
Rebecca Wiseman, PhD, RN, STTI Region 12 Coordinator
Dr. Wiseman earned her BSN from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, an MSN from the University of Pennsylvania with a Major in Adult Health and a Minor in Education and a PhD from the University of Maryland School of Nursing (UMSON) with a focus in Education Policy and Administration.
She is currently the Assistant Dean for the University of Maryland School of Nursing regional program located at the Universities at Shady Grove in Rockville, MD.
Dr. Wiseman is the Principal Investigator for a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation State Implementation grand and a Co-Investigator on a Maryland Higher Education Commission Nursing Support Grant to develop and implement a Dual Enrollment cirriculum between the Montgomery College Associate Degree Nursing Program and the University of Maryland School of Nursing at the Universities at Shady Grove.
This project will serve as a model for other nursing programs within the state and will assist Maryland in meeting the IOM recommentation of increasing the number of baccalaureate prepared nurses to 80% in 2020.
Dr. Wiseman is the North America Region 12 Coordinator and is a Past-President of Pi Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau International.
