Millersville Boasts a Distinguished Military Graduate

Academic achievement, evidence of high moral character, military aptitude and demonstrated leadership ability.

Maria Glotfelter is a Distinguished Military Graduate. The Millersville University senior, and a member of the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), is ranked as one of the best in the nation.

Distinguished Army ROTC students are so designated on the basis of academic achievement, evidence of high moral character, military aptitude and demonstrated leadership ability. Distinguished Military Graduates are those who rank in the top 20 percent of Army ROTC graduates nationwide.

In addition, Glotfelter and three other MU seniors in ROTC recently found out in which component of the total Army they will serve. The available components were; Active Duty, National Guard or U.S. Army Reserves.

All four earned the right to choose their component of choice. Zack Miller and Conner McFeely will serve in the U.S. Army Reserves, Arion Neyrinck will serve in the National Guard and Glotfelter will be Active Duty.

“Our MU cadets will make a difference by leading in our communities and in our Army.  They will continue to reflect the values that MU and the MU ROTC program have instilled in them and we can take pride as they grow to be the next generation of leaders,” says Michael T.H. Ngo ’93, COL, SC Army.
