Abby Peters Named MU Alcohol and Other Drugs Counselor

On Tuesday, August 28, 2018, Abby Peters was named the new Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Counselor in the Center for Counseling and Human Development at Millersville University (MU).

As an AOD Counselor, Peters will not only provide AOD assessment, treatment, education, outreach and outreach for students, but also clinical consultation for the department.

“As an alumni of Millersville University, it is a privilege to work for the college that gave me my start in the field. I am thrilled to work with the students and help them learn and understand the disease of addiction and assist them in making smarter choices in their substance use,” said Peters.

Peters holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Elizabeth College and a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Millersville University. Having been in the field for 15 years, Peters is a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
