International Education Week

Raising multicultural awareness and embracing internationalization.

Global Education Presents (002)The only thing more diverse than the schedule of events planned at Millersville University during the week of Monday, Nov. 28 through Thursday, Dec. 1 is the cause they are promoting. The University has set aside those days as International Education Week.

MU’s Global Education office is collaborating with various departments on campus to raise multicultural awareness and embrace internationalization. They plan to do so through a week of events, each taking place at different locations across campus. The events are catered toward MU faculty, staff and students, with the intention of celebrating the diversity of the campus.

“We feel it is important for students to see the world from a culturally relative stand point,” says Kelly Block, a student assistant from Global Education.

Some of the events taking place during MU’s International Education Week include a luncheon, the Multicultural Showcase, film festival and diversity discussion. All events are free for Millersville University faculty, staff and students, but some require registration.
